What are D rings?
D-rings will vary by industry but our d rings are for use in tie down applications. Designs will vary slightly and include:

Flush mount D rings

Flush mount D rings are ideal for transporting motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles and other lighter weight vehicles that have multiple points for trailer tie downs. Flush mount means the flat part of the fitting mounts flush against the surface.

Recessed D rings

Also great for lighter weight vehicles, but these are installed below the surface of the floor or wall so they lie flat when not in use. They do require creating a hole in the floor or wall to fit properly.

Rotating pan D rings

As the name implies, these rotate 360 degrees to offer more versatility for anchor points.

Weld-on D rings

Crafted in forged steel with a with a weld-on bracket that allows the ring to rotate 180 degrees.

Why are endless round slings different colors?

Polyester endless round slings have a colored jacket that indicates its strength. This design feature makes it easy to see at a glance by color just how strong the sling is. Colors range from purple (least amount of strength) to black (strongest). While the color coding is an industry standard, if you are replacing a sling, it’s a good idea to check the specifications to make sure the new sling is as strong as the sling you are replacing.

It’s also important to note that the body diameter of the sling refers to the diameter of the polyester rope- not the colored CORDURA® fabric jacket.

Where to apply conspicuity tape?

Reflective tape- also called conspicuity tape– is required for tractor trailers to increase visibility to other drivers. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has various regulations, some dependent on when the tractor trailer was manufactured. You can find excellent instructions and illustrations of trucks with conspicuity tape at: http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/documents/consp.pdf

We offer two aluminum cab guard styles: 70″ wide with E-Z view window and an 80″ wide with chain racks. Both feature Dyna-Tube extrusion on the outer edge for a tough yet smooth aerodynamic border. It’s not too early to be thinking of winter driving. Tire chain holders that mount right to the frame are a great way to keep chains organized, and a locking lid keeps them secure. The space-saving design is only 8” wide and is available in both an 18” size for frames with fairing packages and a 24″ size for open frame models.

Also be sure to check our selection of tire chains. We offer two styles, both from Pewag, a trusted manufacturer in the chain industry.

Variable mounting points make them easy to install, with no drilling required. All are 33.25″ wide so they easily slide together. Choose from three different lengths:  18.5″L, 28″L, 37.5“. Each deck cover meets DOT regulations for a walk area.

How Much Do Large Rubber Bands Stretch?

Big rubber bands
Large Rubber Band: 30″

Our extra large rubber bands for moving are measured flat, and will stretch to approximately twice their length. We sell the big rubber bands in four different sizes. All are sold in a package of 12.

The great thing about buying rubber bands for moving is that they’re handy even after you’re all in and settled. Use them to secure box lids closed, or keep drawers or doors closed on chests, tool boxes, etc. Take them along camping or hunting to bundle supplies or keep cooler tops secure.
